Our Mission

Our goal is to make clean, accurate weather telemetry accessible to everyone. By utilizing state-of-the-art open-source meteorological databases and presenting them in a beautiful, dark-themed, glassmorphic layout, we allow you to track storms, temperatures, humidity levels, and wind speeds without the clutter and tracking scripts of commercial weather sites.

High-Resolution Data

Local Weather Radar is built on top of high-resolution weather models using robust infrastructure. This includes data compiled from global and regional forecasting models such as:

• HRRR (High-Resolution Rapid Refresh) - NOAA's premier local model for the US.
• GFS (Global Forecast System) - National Weather Service's global outlook.
• ERA5 - The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reanalysis dataset.

Self-Hosted Meteorological Infrastructure

For developers and tech enthusiasts, our application supports self-hosted offline deployments. The entire weather parsing stack can run directly inside dockerized containers to fetch regional dataset models dynamically, allowing zero-latency weather radar processing.
